Costume Change: Lampshades

(Update: The photo has been removed because the link no longer works, and actually, the Frockz website appears to have gone belly up as well. Hope someone else picks up the idea.)

Anyone who knows me knows I am slightly obsessed with interior design. Many who know me share that interest, so hopefully I am not completely boring the masses by occasionally sharing design related items I stumble across in my cyber wanderings (also, please note the new list of yummy retailers, blogs and miscellaneous design sites I'm now listing to the right, followed by a long overdue and not yet comprehensive listing of the personal blogs I stalk).

Run on sentence. Sorry. Interior Design. What was I saying?

Ah, yes. Lampshades. Those tricky hats for lamps that can make or break an entire room. Thanks to a cyber pal at HGTV, I found Frockz, an online retailer that specializes in form fitting slipcovers for lampshades. Isn't that a cool idea?

I can envision lots of ways to take advantage of these slipcovers, especially for children's bedrooms that tend to morph and change in decor alongside said tot.

Go forth and cover. And two points if you noticed that this is the first time I've ever added a photo.

That is a cool idea. I'm off to check it out. Also - Happy Upcoming Birthday!
