Madam Secretary {TV Series}

Some friends of mine turned me onto CBS's new show Madam Secretary and ack! Ack, ack, ackety ack! This show is a totally delicious time suck that will have you suggesting that your husband bond with the children while you focus on new and creative ways of avoiding couch potato related cramping.

Not only does it star the divine Tea Leoni, but the interiors of the show warrant rewinds and pauses galore.  Yummies below.

Check out the glassware collection, built in shelving and the peek at the chandelier in Secretary of State's Elizabeth McCord's dining room.

In the show, Secretary McCord is married to Tim Daly, aka Henry McCord.

He's much more attractive when he's not being an angst ridden doctor on Private Practice. But I digress.

The couple's bed:

Note that the upholstery on the headboard is separated from the wood frame by an inch or so.

A glimpse of this show's version of the Oval Office:

Political shows always show the White House, the Capitol Building and related offices as being awash in thick creamy mouldings and stately dark wood furniture. Here, Madam Secretary is standing with the show's White House Chief of Staff Russell Jackson, played by Zeljko Ivanek. I haven't decided if his character is trustworthy or not yet, but I do know I want that highboy in the back right.

There aren't a lot of photos of the set floating around just yet, but trust me when I say the show is worth a glance.

After the kids are in bed, of course. Of course!

Too funny you posted on this - I've been trying to find more pics of that Georgetown house/set. I love the kitchen!
