Searching for a sofa...

We're in the market for a new sofa. Why is this so hard? There is a lot of "sameness" out there, yet we aren't necessarily looking for something unique. "Unique" and "sofa" could get really weird really fast.

Not quite us.

While we're looking, here are some yummy living/family room inspiration photos I've been eyeing. To the sofa!

I swear looking for a sofa was like goldilocks and the three bears times 1000. It has to look good. It has to be comfortable. It has to hold up to actually being lived on vs. just looking pretty in the showroom (mistake we made with our last couch). It has to appeal to multiple people usually of the opposite sex. Sometimes it has to be approved by pets (because even though you say no pets will be allowed on the new couch, you know that won't last). If it's a sectional, you need to make sure it isn't going to be constantly sliding apart (been there, done that twice). And it can't break the bank.

THEN when you find something that meets all these requirements, they tell you the only color they might have in stock is the ugly poop brown that neither you, your partner, or child(ren), so you commit to waiting 4-6 months for something you may or may not be in love with. So much for instant gratification.

All the images you shared are gorgeous. Someone just shared a gorgeous tufted sofa from American Signature Furniture that was reasonably priced.
